Apollo Cancer Hospital, Visakhapatnam Has Hosted A Walkathon For Cancer Awareness with the slogan ‘I am and I will’ for World Cancer Day theme at Beach Road On Sunday 9th February 2020
Around 1,000 people participated in the Cancer Awareness Walkathon, organised by Apollo Cancer Hospitals, Visakhapatnam to raise awareness on prevention and early detection to beat cancer which is 2nd leading cause of death in the world.
Apollo aim is to spread the importance to step up cancer literacy and knowledge amongst the population, “The one walk one hope walkathon was organised to celebrate the World Cancer Day in February to raise awareness on the importance of regular Health examination among the public”.
The walkathon with the slogan ‘I am and I will’ saw the participation of survivors, Apollo Hospital Staffs, all the women & men who are walking over, school and college students and others.
Chief Guests: Dr.Sudhakar Principal (AMC), Mr.Raju (Dr.Reddys), Mr.Arjun (Governor-Walkers international Club) and Rotary Club were among those who took part in the event.
