HEAD OF RADIOLOGY
Dr. Arunan Murali is a renowned expert Radiologist with a specialization in Onco-imaging. He has been practicing Radiology since 2007and has a wealth of experience in imaging of a wide range of medical conditions.
He is passionate about improving patient outcomes through early cancer detection and personalized treatment planning. He works closely with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the most appropriate and effective care possible.
His extensive training and experience in Onco-imaging has made him an expert in the field. He has a deep understanding of the pathophysiology of cancer and its implications for imaging, and has developed innovative imaging techniques to better diagnose and treat cancer patients.
Dr. Arunan is also a respected researcher and has published numerous articles and studies on Onco-imaging in various medical journals. He also plans to further investigate the best uses of novel imaging techniques that provide both anatomical and functional information about tumors. This information could be especially useful for new cancer therapies.
Throughout his career, he has worked at several top healthcare institutions, including hospitals and imaging centers. In his current role, he serves as the Head of Radiology at Apollo Proton Cancer centre, and works with a team of experienced and specialist radiologists.
His expertise focuses on CT, MRI and PETCT in cancer imaging with a special interest in Head and Neck, Thorax and Gastrointestinal cancer. He also offers image-guided biopsies, drainages and other minimally invasive procedures, such as radiofrequency ablation, Microwave ablation, which can be used to treat certain types of cancer.
He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association(IRIA), Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), European Society Of Radiology (ESR), European Society For Hybrid, Molecular And Translational Imaging (ESHI), Royal College of Radiologist (RCR), Society Of Nuclear Medicine And Molecular Imaging (SNMMI), Society Of Oncoimaging- India (SOII).
