There is very little awareness of Stroke, and it is our social responsibility to reach out to the people in bringing the attention, and this event is one such,” he added

Stroke is the fourth largest cause of disability and death in India, up from sixth a decade back. Stroke is potentially treatable though limited by time. Early treatment is crucial as more brain cells are saved, and the improvement is significant. Neurologists from Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, Dr. Somanatha Vasudeva, Head of Institutes of Neurosciences and Consultant Neurologist, Dr. Aumir Moin, Senior Consultant Neurologist, Dr. Shankar, Consultant Neurologist and Dr. Vinay Hegde, Consultant Neuro Interventional Radiologist spoke about treatment modalities and practical facts about Stroke to the audience.
