One of its kind events that mainly focusses on technologies transforming cardiac care. The event was attended by over 230 doctors from Mysuru.
Mysore March 29, 2022: Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru organised ‘Apollo Cardiovascular Symposium 2022’ at Hotel Radisson Blu on Sunday evening. This Symposium was last organised in 2018 and 2019, this being the first event post-pandemic. Mr. Bharateesha Reddy, Vice-President and Unit Head Thanked the doctors for their enduring courage exhibited during the pandemic and informed them about the latest developments and future plans of the hospital. Dr. Sadananda K.S Proffessor of Cardiology & Medical Superintendent, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, Mysore was the Guest of Honour, addressing the audience he said “ In this era of rapid development happening in the field of cardiology it is very important to keep ourselves updated about the innovation and technologies in the field of cardiology” he appreciated the hospital for organising the symposium every year and thereby educating about the latest developments in the field of cardiology.

More than 230 Doctors comprising cardiologists, general physicians, family physicians were present. The Symposium was focused on technology transforming cardiac care and speakers discussed at length the current management techniques, the transformation brought in by technology and the future possibilities in cardiac care. The symposium started with a presentation on ‘Newer Therapies for Structural and Valvular Heart diseases’ by Dr. Jaya Ranganath of Apollo Hospitals, Sheshadripuram, Bangalore and was chaired by Dr. Amrit Nanaiah, Dr. Aiyappa and Dr. Veenu J. followed by Dr. Arul D. Furtado of Apollo Hospitals, BG Road Bangalore speaking on Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery, MICS and beyond chaired by Dr. Lakshminarayanachar, Dr. Madhu Prakash, Dr. K.N. Bhaskar and Dr. Guruprasad H.P. The symposium concluded with a presentation on ‘Precision Cardiac Interventions- The New Gold Standard’ by Dr. Arun Srinivas, Chief Cardiologist and Head of the Apollo Heart Institutes, Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysore chaired by Dr. Javeed Nayeem, Dr. Sadananda K. S., Dr. Prashanth S and Dr. Nagesh.
