1. Purpose of Second Opinion:
The Second Opinion service provided by Apollo Hospitals aims to offer additional insights and recommendations based on the information provided by the patient. It is not intended to replace a comprehensive, in-person medical examination.
2. Medical Reports:
a. You are solely responsible for the medical, health and personal information you provide at Apollo Hospitals. The opinion of the doctor will depend upon the information you provide to Apollo Hospitals.
b. User discretion is advised while submitting/uploading your required personal and clinical information on the specified place and selecting the Doctor for seeking appropriate medical advice related to condition of the patient. This information shall include patient’s details including contact details, medical history, testing/investigations results/reports, prescriptions, card holder name and other relevant details.
c. Apollo Hospitals services are available to use for children, but the Registered Member for all patients under the age of 18 must be the patient’s parent or legal guardian. If you register as the parent or legal guardian on behalf of a minor, you will be fully responsible for complying with these Terms.
d. If the information provided by you is false/deceptive/inaccurate or misleading, Apollo Hospitals reserves the right to cancel your appointment/registered package without assuming any liability whatsoever. Hence, it’s advised to submit/upload all relevant and accurate information on the portal.

3. Equipment and Connectivity Requirement
a. The services available on the website shall be provided to you via Whatsapp, Phone, or as an offline review through e-mail.
b. You understand and acknowledge that there will not be any physical examination involved and the online opinion shall be provided remotely. The opinion delivered by our team shall solely be based on the verbal communication between our team member and the patient and the test reports and other information provided/uploaded by you on the website.
c. Apollo Hospitals or the consulting Doctor/Medical Practitioner shall not be liable for misdiagnosis / faulty judgment / interpretation error / perception error/Adverse events/ inefficacy of prescribed treatment or advice/validity of the advice or prescription provided by your consulting Doctor or unavailability of the recommended or prescribed treatment or medication under any condition or circumstances. Users are advised to use their discretion for following the advice obtained post consultation from Apollo Hospitals.
d. Apollo Hospitals Services are not meant in any way for emergency and life-threatening conditions. It is advised to take the patient to the nearest hospital in such cases.

After the initial inquiry, our team will coordinate a free video consultation with a resident doctor within the next 60 minutes. In exceptional cases, this may take up to 24 hours if the doctor is occupied.
6. CRM Recording:
Patient feedback and lead status will be recorded in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. This information is crucial for continuous improvement and service enhancement.
7. Medication Queries:
Please note that medication and prescription related queries will not be addressed during the free video consultation. A visit to the hospital will be required for such inquiries.
8. Post-Shift Handling:
Inquiries submitted after 7:30 pm will be attended to the next morning. We will, however, acknowledge your submission via WhatsApp as scheduled.
9. Limitations of Second Opinion:
a. A second opinion via communication media is of an informative nature and cannot and should not replace an on-site examination by a doctor.
b. The patient is aware that important information that is usually collected during an on-site examination where the doctor uses all five body senses, may not be available, which limits the diagnosis of a condition, illness or injury.
c. If a doctor gives a second opinion, this must subsequently be discussed with your treating doctor, who is responsible for the immediate implementation of the treatment.
d. Apollo Hospital expressly points out that a right to a second opinion only arises after the doctor has determined, after reviewing the documents provided, that remote opinion is possible and therefore creates the second opinion report.
e. In some cases, the doctor may not be able to make a meaningful assessment without a personal consultation on-site with the patient; in this case your second opinion request will be refused. The advance payment already made will be refunded to you.
10. Indemnity
a. Notwithstanding the general indemnity provided to Apollo Hospitals in the Terms and Conditions, You agree and undertake to indemnify and keep indemnified Apollo Hospitals, the concerned doctor/physician and any affiliate for any losses, costs, charges and expenses including reasonable attorney fees that the concerned doctor/physician and Apollo Hospitals may suffer on account of a misdiagnosis / faulty judgment /interpretation errors / perception error arising from (i) your failure to provide correct and / or complete clinical information / history about the patient in timely and appropriate manner; or (ii) suppression of material facts; or your failure to provide relevant clinical information about the patient; or (iii) misinterpretation of the advice / prescription / diagnosis by you; or (iv) (a)failure to follow doctor’s advice / prescription by you; or (b) incorrect or inaccurate credit / debit card details provided by you; or (c) using a credit / debit card which is not lawfully owned by you; or (d) if you permit a third party to use your password or other means to access your account and deceive Apollo Hospitals in any manner whatsoever.
