Dr. Prathap C Reddy, the visionary Founder Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, is widely credited as being the architect of modern Indian healthcare. His vision of bringing world-class healthcare within the economic and geographic reach of millions of patients was the genesis of Apollo Hospitals.
The first Apollo opened its doors in 1983, and heralded the private healthcare revolution in the nation.
Apollo Hospitals introduced international quality healthcare to India, at a cost which was a tenth of comparable costs in the Western world.

Preetha Reddy had formally joined the Apollo Hospitals Group in 1989 and was pivotal in its emergence as Asia’s foremost and trusted integrated healthcare provider. She leads Apollo Hospitals’ thrust on continuous quality improvement processes and had championed its endeavour to be accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), the global gold standard for quality and patient safety.
She is the Managing Trustee of the Apollo Hospitals Education Trust, a principal body leading the development of institutions of excellence in Nursing, Allied Health Sciences and Management, all with the shared objective of building a talent pool of skilled health human resources in India.
Ms. Shobana Kamineni

Shobana Kamineni, a member of the founding family was named Executive Vice Chairperson, AHEL in July 2014.
Championing Special Initiatives for over 7 years, she had directed the company’s diversification into several new domains, all of which have been largely responsible for Apollo’s emergence as Asia’s foremost integrated healthcare organization.
Shobana continues to helm the Apollo Global Projects Consultancy, which steers the planning, design and execution of new projects.
Ms. Suneeta Reddy

A member of the founding family, Suneeta Reddy joined the Apollo Hospitals Group in 1989. Spearheading the finance function, she was instrumental in taking the organization to the international equity markets through a successful GDR and subsequently bringing the First Foreign Direct Investment into Healthcare in India. It has been her deep domain knowledge and foresight that has guided Apollo’s emergence as a formidable, financially sound hospital enterprise.
Ms. Sangita Reddy

A member of the founding family, Sangita Reddy actively participated in the inception of Apollo Hospitals, and formally joined the Group in 1983 as a management trainee.
For almost two decades since, her efforts have been central to the values of the Apollo culture. Sangita has been a passionate crusader in reaching health care to every corner of India and the underserved regions of the world, through Telehealth and remote healthcare .
In 2014, Sangita Reddy was elevated to the position of Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited.
