WHAT HAPPENS DURING A SHORT STAY PROCEDURE?
Pre-operative preparation:
Medical history, investigation, evaluation for pre-operative assessment, fitness, query resolution & consent details of the procedure are advised to the patient and family members. A detailed set of instructions is provided to prepare the patient for surgery.
Intra-operative stage:
multidisciplinary team including anaesthetist work effectively to perform the planned procedure following all the safety and infection control measures.
Post-operative care:
After the procedure, the patient is kept under observation for a certain time depending on the type of procedure. Thereafter, when the patient’s condition is stable, moved to the floor & after initial feed the patient is discharged.
