Intensive care forms an essential part of managing a medical condition. Expert intensivists and ICU trained nurses and support staff are the strength of a well-equipped ICU. Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai, has successfully managed complex and rare illnesses with the help of the dedicated & highly experienced ICU team. We have dedicated ICUs comprising 100 beds for neonatal, pediatric & adult patients along with an ICU for heart, kidney and liver transplants.
Our team ensures the highest standards of infection control with the availability of 4 isolation beds for individuals with critical illness and those in an immunocompromised state. We also offer an antibiotic stewardship program to reduce antibiotic resistance.
Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai, now offers an electronic Intensive Care Unit (eICU) which is a telemedicine system designed to support critical care units in hospitals by providing continuous remote monitoring and access to patient data. The eICU allows doctors, intensivists and critical care team members to collaborate and offer their expertise to multiple ICUs in different locations, even across different healthcare facilities and hospitals across India and our neighboring countries.
What are the advantages of an eICU?
- The doctor or intensivist can monitor a patient in real time and provide expert care remotely.
- Continuous 24/7 monitoring can be done for individuals with critical illness.
- Multiple ICUs within a hospital can also be linked to a central monitoring system to improve clinical efficiency.
- Individuals needing quarantine or isolation in case of infectious diseases can benefit from an eICU setup to prevent hospital acquired infections.
Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai is happy to be a forerunner for providing an eICU setup and expertise in Maharashtra.
