One of the latest additions to Bariatric surgery is the new technique of port entry called the Single Incision laparoscopic Surgery. SILS is the next generation of laparoscopy, where the access is only through a single port instead of multiple ports. This utilizes new specialized port and roticulator instruments thus making the procedure literally scar-less as it will be buried inside the belly button.
