Symptoms of Liver Cancer include:

• A hard lump on the right side just below the rib cage
• Swollen abdomen and discomfort in the upper abdomen (right side)
• Pain near the right shoulder blade or in the back

Diagnosis

• Endoscopy – A thin tube containing a tiny camera is passed down your throat and into your Liver to look for any cancer signs. If anything suspicious is detected, a piece of tissue sample is sent for biopsy (analysis).
• Imaging tests – Imaging tests used to check for Liver cancer include computerized tomography (CT) scan, positron emission tomography scan (PET) and a special type of X-ray exam called barium swallow.
• Removing a sample of liver tissue for testing – Sometimes it’s necessary to remove a piece of liver tissue for laboratory testing in order to make a definitive diagnosis of liver cancer.

Stages Of Liver Cancer

• Stage 0: Very early
• Stage A: Early
• Stage B: Intermediate
