Dr Balvardhan Reddy, experienced orthopaedic surgeon at Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, shares the case of Mrs Lavanya Reddy, a 61-year-old patient, who incidentally is his cousin. Mrs Lavanya consulted Dr Reddy with severe knee pain. Although MRI and X-ray showed minor knee damage from her arthritis condition, she experienced persistent pain due to a degenerative meniscal tear. Dr. Reddy performed an arthroscopy to assess her knee and the degenerated meniscus.
