Meet Mrs Annie Sue, a 62-year-old woman from Fiji who shares her journey at Apollo Hospitals in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Last year, she discovered a large lump in her neck and underwent a biopsy in Fiji. Due to the absence of an oncological unit in Fiji, she was referred to Apollo Hospital. At Apollo Hospital, she underwent a PET CT scan, blood tests, and another biopsy. The swelling in her neck was significant, and she also noticed swelling in her left arm.
Under the care of Dr Satyesh Nadella, a highly respected Radiation Oncologist with over 7 years of experience, treatment began urgently based on the initial biopsy results from Fiji. Initially, she started chemotherapy, but after receiving comprehensive test results from Apollo, her diagnosis was adjusted to Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She underwent 6 cycles of chemotherapy over 15 days, and the results showed only remnants of the tumour. Mrs. Annie Sue responded well to treatment and continued with chemotherapy, completing her last session on 30/10/2023. In early November 2023, she underwent another PET CT scan, which confirmed no signs of tumour recurrence. She had her follow-up checkup in January 2024 by Dr Satyesh Nadella as he often visits Fiji for patient care.
Mrs Annie Sue expresses deep gratitude to Dr Satyesh Nadella, the hospital staff and radiology department, and Apollo Hospital for their exceptional care and support throughout her treatment.
