National Board of Examinations awards for excellence in Medical Education
The National Board of examinations, on the occasion of the 19th convocation held in New Delhi on September 21, 2018 saw honors being conferred to many distinguished faculty as well as eminent NBE accredited institutions for their outstanding contribution to the DNB/FNB courses. During the convocation over 300 DNB trainees have been awarded Gold Medals for their outstanding performance in the final examination in various specialties and subspecialties for the AY 2014 to 2017.
Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad has been conferred with the award of NBE Scroll of Honor for their outstanding commitment to excellence in Postgraduate Medical Education and clinical research. Dr. T. S. Reddy, Director of Medical Education, Apollo Hospitals received the award from Sri. M. Venkaiah Naidu, Honorable Vice President of India in the presence of Sri. Ashwini Kumar Choubey and Smt. Anupriya Patel, Honourable Ministers of State for Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, in a glittering ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
During the 19th convocation Thirteen (13) DNB graduates from Apollo Hospitals group have been awarded Gold Medals in various specialties. Four DNB graduates from Apollo Hospitals Hyderabad have been awarded Gold Medals viz.,
- G S Karthik received Dr. SamG P Moses Gold Medal in Internal Medicine for AY 2016.
- Priyanka Patil has been awarded Dr. C S Sadasivam Gold Medal in Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery for AY 2016.
- Nigar Fatima bagged the DNB Presidents Gold Medal in Pathology for AY 2017.
- Nanditha has been awarded Dr. Satyapal Agarwal Gold Medal in Radiotherapy for AY 2015.
