At Apollo Hospitals in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, we possess advanced equipment and skilled laboratory staff to effectively perform treadmill tests (TMT). This diagnostic procedure assesses heart blood circulation both at rest and during physical exertion, such as walking or running on a treadmill. What to Expect During a Treadmill Test (TMT)?
During the test, you will be connected to equipment that monitors your heart. You will either walk slowly in place on a treadmill or ride a stationary bicycle. As the test progresses, the treadmill speed or bike resistance will be gradually increased to provide more exertion, and the treadmill may also tilt to simulate an incline.
You might also be asked to breathe into a tube for a few minutes. You can stop the test at any time if necessary. Afterward, you will sit or lie down while your heart and blood pressure are checked.

After the Procedure
Following the test, doctors will observe your symptoms, heart rate, and blood pressure until they return to normal. Once your heart rate is normal, you can go home. A few days later, your doctor will review the results with you.
