    FAQ's

You should consult a nephrologist if you show any symptoms of kidney diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, swelling in ankles, feet, and legs, nausea and fatigue, brain fog, or changes in frequency, colour, or pain while urinating. Those with a family history of kidney disease can also be at risk. Early prevention can mitigate any complications.

During the appointment, our doctors will check your medical record, discuss symptoms, perform physical examinations, and conduct urine, blood, and imaging tests. Based on the results, treatment plans are informed.

For acute kidney injuries (AKIs), treatment is usually focused on resolving the cause. On the other hand, treatment for chronic kidney disease (CKD) involves slowing down the progression of the disease and preserving kidney function. Although AKIs can be reversible, CKD does not have a cure. AKIs should be treated early to prevent permanent damage that can lead to long-term kidney failure or CKD.

Permcath insertion is a type of dialysis access procedure. Permcath, or permanent catheter, has two tubes. It is usually inserted in the blood vessel in the neck and extends to the right side of the heart. One takes blood to the dialysis machine, while the other carries the blood from the machine to the body. Permcath is generally used for long-term purposes. A cuff will help the catheter remain in place and prevent infection.
