348COVID-19 can be complicated with coagulation disorders with a high incidence of thromboembolism and disseminated intravascular coagulation. D-dimer might help in the early recognition of these high-risk patients and also predict the outcome. There are current recommendations suggesting that all hospitalized COVID-19 patients should receive thromboprophylaxis, or full therapeutic-intensity anticoagulation if such an indication is present.
