      The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has approval from the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) to allow a combination of lopinavir and ritonavir, approved for AIDS treatment, to be used if coronavirus infections turn into a public health emergency in India. It can be used as a fixed-dose combination in patients over age 18, with lab confirmation of COVID19, with severe respiratory distress /very low BP /new-onset organ dysfunction /lung parenchymal infiltrates on Xray or CT scan.
