      There have been some studies that showed that zinc did have a mild effect in shortening duration of the common cold.  But there’s no conclusive information about zinc and this particular coronavirus.

      Supplementing with zinc may help protect against respiratory tract infections and reduce the duration of these infections. The daily dose is about 40 mg of elemental zinc. Excessive doses may interfere with copper absorption, which could increase your infection risk.
