Supplementing with zinc might help protect against respiratory tract infections and also reduce the duration of these infections. The daily dose is about 40-mg of elemental zinc.
However, there is no hard evidence to support an argument that zinc can protect against, prevent and/or treat of Coronavirus. More evidence is required before we can count on zinc as a means of COVID-19 prevention or protection.
