Can Antiparasitic drug ivermectin kill coronavirus in 48 hours?

Ivermectin is an FDA-approved broad-spectrum anti-parasitic agent that seems to have anti-viral activity against a broad range of viruses. One study showed a ~5000-fold reduction in the virus in 48 hours in cell culture. Several studies are on now to test Ivermectin and may pave the path for its official repurposing as a COVID-19 drug.
