Doctors are looking into the use of Acetazolamide [Diamox], a medication used in High altitude pulmonary edema [HAPE].  As both COVID-19 and HAPE  cause Acute respiratory distress syndrome, Acetazolamide is being studied to see if it would work in respiratory distress syndromes in COVID -19 as well. Acetaminophen is a medication to reduce fever and ease aches and would be used for symptomatic relief in COVID -19 infection.
