7 warning signs of Lung cancer you shouldn’t ignore

      1.Persistent cough
Normally a cough related to cold should subside in a week or two. But if it still persists, you must consult a doctor. If you smoke and you notice any changes in your cough like coughing more frequently, coughing with a hoarse sound, more mucus than usual or coughing up blood, you need to consult a doctor to rule out any risk of lung cancer

      2. Shortness of breath
If you experience shortness of breath while doing your day to day tasks, you need to get checked for lung cancer. This may occur due the lung tumor blocks, narrowing of airway or fluid building up in the chest.

      3. Chest and bone pain
If you experience pain in the chest, shoulder or back area, there are chances that lung cancer has spread to the bones causing the pain. There could also be a number of neurological symptoms and headaches if the cancer has spread to the brain. So consult a doctor if the pain doesn’t go away.

      4. Wheezing
You may experience wheezing due to several reasons like asthma or allergies. However, it can also be associated with lung cancer. If the wheezing persists, consult a doctor to rule out any chances of lung cancer.

      5. Change in voice
If you notice that lately your voice have become deeper and hoarser or notice any other significant changes, it could be a simple cold. But if the condition persists, please consult a doctor.

      6.Persistent chest infection
Persistent chest infection that did not respond to antibiotics, blood in the sputum and infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia that keep coming back could be warning signs of lung cancer.

      7. Loss of appetite, weight loss and fatigue
While loss of appetite, weight loss and fatigue could be non-specific symptoms related to many other cancer types or diseases, if you notice persistent and unexplained changes, then it is advisable to consult a doctor.
