Women being at the centre of healthcare, marked the central theme as Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8th 2016. An eminent panel discussed their views on “WOMEN: AT THE CENTRE OF THE HEALTHCARE UNIVERSE” which included H.E The High Commissioner of Ghana Mr Samuel Panyin Yalley, former bureaucrat Ms Vineeta Rai, Noted writer Ms Advaita Kala and Ace Shooter Shagun Chaudhary. The session was moderated by Ms Sanchita Sharma, the Health and Sciences Editor from Hindustan Times.
The event concluded with a beautiful dance ensemble “Pravaah” which was an amalgam of Bharatnatyan, Kathak and Orriya, choreographed and presented by Ms Priya Venkataraman accompanied by Ms Sudha Mukhopadhyay and Ms Gouri Diwakar. The event marks an affirming of the belief at Apollo that women must take full responsibility for their health, family, careers and well-being and that it is women that shall create a prosperous tomorrow.
