- She did her American Board of Pediatrics in the year 1972 & was working as an Honorary Assistant Surgeon at Institute of Child Health & Hospital for Children, Chennai for 3 years under Dr. Balagopal Raju.
- She was the Pediatrician in-charge of IIT Chennai from 78-83 and then from 1983 has been in Apollo Hospitals as chief of Pediatrics and Medical Superintendent.
