Dr Vivek Bose gained his undergraduate medical degree at Madurai Medical college in 1988 and completed his MD in Internal Medicine from Mangalore University in 1992. Dr Vivek Bose is extremely qualified as he completed his DM in Cardiology from Madras Medical College in 1995 followed by his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship in Queensland, Australia for a period of 3 years.
He has a professional experience of more than 25years and his clinical work is focused on general cardiology with a special interest in Coronary Artery Disease - the diagnosis and management of chest pains, Angina and Heart Attacks. He is skilled in Interventional cardiology including Angioplasty and Stent implantation as an alternative to Bypass surgery. Dr. Vivek Bose has performed more than 10,000 interventional procedures to his credit.
Dr. Vivek Bose has pioneered the development of Interventional Cardiology in South Tamil Nadu creating history of first-time Angioplasty, Permanent Pace Maker, Drug eluting stent, Bio absorbable Vascular scaffold, Renal Angioplasty and Left Main Angioplasty. He has also done the first ever Balloon Mitral Valvuloplasty and Transcathetar Aortic Valve Replacement in South Tamil Nadu. Dr. Vivek Bose’s main research interests are in the management of acute coronary syndromes and he has published in peer-review journals on these subjects as well as heart failure and valvular heart disease.
