Dr. Subburamakrishnan received his primary medical degree and MD Internal Medicine from Madurai Medical College in 1989 and 1994 respectively. He did his DM in Cardiology from Government Stanley Medical College where he undertook comprehensive training in all aspects of adult general cardiology with a sub-specialty interest in coronary intervention (angioplasty). Adding to his skill set, he is a Fellow of European Society of Cardiology and Fellow of SCAI. Since March 2005, he has been working in Apollo Speciality Hospitals Madurai accounting a credit of 15 years’ experience in the field of Cardiology.
Dr Subburamakrishnan has a high level of expertise in interventional cardiology, and performs all aspects of coronary intervention. He specializes in angioplasty - a procedure that can open up a blocked blood vessel in the arteries using a tiny stent. His specialist expertise lies in functional and imaging modalities of complex Coronary Intervention, chronic total occlusion, rotablation and bypass graft coronary angioplasty. He utilizes the latest guideline-supported cardiac test to ensure his patients are fully investigated in addition to his thorough clinical assessment.
