An Event of Colours – Jasola Delhi Government Senior Secondary School (February 17, 2017)It is Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals’ aim to generate a positive eco-system among underprivileged school children with regard to sanitation and hygiene. Following through from the success of last year’s events in two MCD schools, An Event of Colours 2017, a fun filled drawing event, was held in Jasola Delhi Government Girls Senior Secondary School on February 17, 2017.Over 650 students of 6th and 7th standards participated and each student was given special oil colours and stationery to keep.The school is one of the company’s CSR project schools where Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals constructed a new toilet block in 2016.An Event of Colours is a creative drawing event to enable children to express their creativity on the themes of sanitation and hygiene. This is being done to reinforce the messages of sanitation and hygiene among the school children.Apollo Hospitals Group Nursing Director Captain Usha Banerjee was the Guest of Honour for the event. She heartily appreciated the talent of the school children and encouraged them to do their best in their lives ahead. The school principal and staff commended the efforts of Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in reaching out to their school children.The students expressed their creativity with great joy in this event drawing colourful pictures on the themes of clean country, homes, schools and personal hygiene. All teachers and students were given refreshments by the hospital at the end of the event to take home.
