ऐडल्ट कैंसर (Adult Cancer) preventable या Lifestyle Related होते हैं। मगर चाइल्डहुड कैन्सर (Childhood Cancer) लाइफ स्टाइल रिलेटेड नहीं होते हैं और यह प्रीवेंटेबल भी नहीं है। सिर्फ कुछ मामले ऐसे होते हैं जैसे कि रेटिनोब्लास्टोमा (Retinoblastoma) के हैं जो कि पारिवारिक होते हैं। जहाँ अगर एक बच्चा इफेक्टेड हैं तो अगली संतान को हम कैंसर से बचा सकते हैं।
लेकिन ज्यादातर कैन्सर में हमारा फोकस प्रिवेन्शन की जगह अर्ली डिटेक्शन एंड डायग्नोसिस (Early Detection and Diagnosis) होना चाहिए। बच्चों में कोई भी सिम्प्टम हो जैसे बुखार, वजन लूज़ करना, चेहरे का पीलापन होना, पेट में फुलाव होना, शरीर में कोई गठान का दिखाई देना, सर में दर्द या शरीर के किसी हिस्से में ज्यादा होना दर्द, ये कैंसर के भी लक्षण हो सकते हैं। जैसे ही बच्चे में लक्षण दिखें, तुरंत डॉक्टर के पास ले जाना चाहिए।
तो अगर किसी भी लक्षण का पंद्रह दिन में निदान नहीं हो पाता या कोई और डाइग्नोसिस नहीं बनता तो जरूरी है कि बाल विशेषज्ञ और परिवार भी सोचें कि कहीं यह कैंसर का लक्षण तो नहीं है और इसकी जांच कराएं। कैंसर पहली स्टेज में हो और पूरी तरह से बच्चा स्वस्थ्य भी हो जाए। आइए इस वीडियो के जरिए Dr. Amita Mahajan से जानते हैं कि बच्चों में कैंसर (Cancer) के लक्षण क्या हैं और क्या बचाव किया जा सकता है?
