General information
The test contents in the medical examination packages are as per the advice of the New Zealand high commission only. If required additional tests have to be done as per their protocol.
Appointment Details
Applicants are requested to make mandatory prior appointments for the medical examination to our call centre through the following telephone numbers: 044-4040 1066 – Monday to Saturday – between 7 am to 7 pm.
Online Appointments Not Available.
Applicants who are unable to keep up their appointment are requested to cancel at least one day prior to the appointment day.
Documents / Records to be brought on the day of medical examination
- Original passport
- 1 Xerox copy of the bio-data page of the passport
- 3 recent passport size photos
Additional information
- Please bring the photo copy of old medical reports / medicines / prescription(if any) / Glasses (If worn). For Females – please do not come during the menstrual cycle.
- For Females – Please do not attend the medicals during the menstrual cycle.
- Pregnant applicants have the option to undergo chest x ray with protective gear (double lead shield covering of the abdomen) or can defer medical exam until post delivery. Applicant has to check with their gynaecologist before coming for the medicals regarding the above.
- Food – no restrictions.
Medical Package Contents
Types of visa medical certificates issued:
- General medical certificate,
- Chest X ray certificate
- Limited medical certificate
General medical certificate Packages:
- Age – 0-5 yrs – Physical examination
- 5-11 yrs – Physical examination + urine test
- 11-15 yrs – Physical examination + urine test+ chest x ray
- Above 15 yrs – Physical examination + urine test + chest x ray + Standard blood tests
- For Pregnant females – Physical examination + urine test + Standard blood tests( no X ray chest)
Limited medical certificate Packages:
- Age – 0-11 yrs – Physical examination+ urine test
- 11-15 yrs – Physical examination + urine test+ chest x ray
- Above 15 yrs – Physical examination + urine test + chest x ray + blood tests- Hemogram and S.Creatinine
- Pregnant – Physical examination +urine test +blood tests- Hemogram and S.Creatinine(no X ray chest)
“INZ applicants are responsible for advising the Panel Clinic what medical examination they require. Panel Clinics can provide guidance as to what medical examinations are available, however the applicant is the person responsible for what medical they want to complete. Please ensure that you complete the medical examination as requested by the applicant. If the applicant requires further assistance in deciding what medical examination they require they should be referred to the Immigration New Zealand website”
Duration of the Medical Checkup
- 2 to 3 hours on the day of appointment. If any additional consult / tests are required the duration may be prolonged.
Payment Details
- All fees must be borne by the applicant and can be paid in cash / Credit card.
- If any other further tests/consults are advised by the panel physician after the medical examination, it will be additional.
- Cost of additional test – As per the current hospital tariff
Results
Reports will be uploaded online in eMedicals system in 2 to 5 working days.
