The pain caused by migraines can be incapacitating and sometimes even debilitating. The launch of the Apollo Memory and Headache – Migraine Clinics are in keeping with Apollo Hospitals’ commitment to introduce personalized and specialized care for its patients. Several lifestyle behaviours are increasingly making headaches commonplace and many a times, they can severely impact productivity. Many individuals tend to ignore headaches or even self-medicate and this is worrying. We believe that the need of the hour is to assist people in seeking timely medical attention and the launch of these specialized clinics is a step ahead in that direction.”
“Commenting on the launch of the one-stop clinics, Ms. Preetha Reddy, Vice Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals Group said, “Specialized Clinics make detection and treatment of an illness much easier. The Apollo Headache & Migraine Clinic will offer a one-stop-clinic for patients, at which they will be examined by a neurology consultant, a psychologist, physiotherapist and a family physician. These clinics underscore the opinion of our specialists that a comprehensive examination which includes review by all four specialities is the most effective way to treat headaches and migraines”
“Similarly, Apollo Memory Clinic will provide multidisciplinary support in the identification, investigation and treatment of memory disorders including dementia and Alzheimer’s at an early stage. People often show several symptoms of memory loss but these are ignored. The memory clinic will help to screen the brain’s functioning and identify cases of Alzheimer’s and dementia”, she further added.
