Indications

Cancers that spread to the peritoneal cavity benefit from PIPAC, and these include:

  • Ovarian
  • Gastric
  • Colorectal
  • Appendecial

Advantages

  • PIPAC is typically placed as an adjunct for systemic chemotherapy in between the cycles of chemotherapy. Hence systemic chemotherapy treats primary tumor and distant disease whereas PIPAC treats the peritoneal disease.
