Overview

Ophthalmic cancers, although uncommon, may arise from the various eye and orbital structures. In general, they can be classified as eyelid tumours, conjunctival/corneal cancers, uveal cancers, retinal cancers, and orbital/adnexal cancers. Cancer of the eye is a malignancy that starts and grows in your eye. A malignancy is a group of cancer cells. They are non-typical cells that grow quickly and uncontrollably. They can spread to other sites in the body or invade and destroy tissues.

Types of Ophthalmic Cancer:

  • Retinoblastoma
  • Sebaceous Carcinoma

  • Uveal Melanoma
  • Conjunctival Melanomas
  • Orbital and Adnexal Cancers
