- Treatment modalities depend upon the stage of the disease. Most patients present with a lump in the testis at a very early stage. The most commonly used treatment option for testicular cancer is surgery.
- Inguinal Orchiectomy- An incision is made in the groin, and the testis is pulled out of the groin, divided and removed.
- Partial Orchiectomy is done only in selective patients who have only one functioning testicle.
- Retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND) is a complex surgery used to remove the cancer tissue which has spread to the back of the abdomen.
