Overview

Stomach cancer occurs when there is an abnormal growth of cells in the stomach. These abnormal cells accumulate, forming a tumor in the stomach that can metastasize (spread) to other parts of the body

    Upper GI endoscopy to look for signs of cancer. If any lesion is found, the tissue sample is collected for pathology evaluation (biopsy).
