Surgery is the most common treatment for all stages of penile cancer. If the cancer is found at a more advanced stage, part of or all of the penis might have to be removed with the tumour.
Although there is no proven way to completely prevent penile cancer, you may be able to lower your risk.
It is most common in men above 60 years of age.
Squamous cell penile cancer is slow-growing and, when found in its early stages, can be cured.
