Each person may experience symptoms differently. Some of the symptoms are:
- Hand-foot syndrome – Painful swelling of the fingers and toes (also called dactylitis)
- Fatigue
- Pain Crisis
- Stroke
- Jaundice, or yellowing of the skin, eyes, and mouth
- Frequent infections
- Delayed growth or puberty
- Fever
- Anaemia
- Increased heart rate
- Vision problems
