Leukaemia is a common cancer in children and teens. Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) and Acute lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) are the two types of Leukaemia of which ALL is the most common in children.
The word “acute” in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia comes from the disease progresses rapidly and creates immature white blood cells (lymphoblasts), rather than mature ones.
