Oral cancer (Mouth Cancer) is the sixth most common cancer in the world. India accounts for one-fourth of all oral cancer cases diagnosed worldwide. It is the most common cancer in males in India. It is the abnormal multiplication of cells in the oral cavity in an uncontrolled way to form benign or malignant tumours. It typically starts as an ulcer or patch in the mouth and spreads through the lymphatic system to the lymph nodes in the neck.
