Radical nephrectomy- removal of the kidney and sometimes the adrenal gland.
It is the most common surgery for kidney cancer and can be done either open, laparoscopic or robotic surgery.. - Partial nephrectomy – removal of only the cancer tissue of the kidney. This procedure is used for patients with smaller tumors.
- Radiofrequency (RF) ablation : uses high-energy radio waves to heat the tumor. This treatment is used in very selective cases.
