- Clinical Examination – A complete clinical examination followed by a pelvic examination. The doctor will do a pelvic exam to check if there is a pelvic mass. For this, the doctor inserts a device called a speculum into the vagina. The speculum opens up the vagina so that the doctor can check for abnormalities.

Biopsy –
Generally, early stage tumors are surgically resected/ removed and pathology is established (frozen section). In advanced cancers, tissue samples are obtained through a CT/ ultrasound guided biopsy.
