Biography

Dr Gaurav Kharya, is a Clinical Lead at Centre for BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) & CT (Cellular Therapy), Senior Consultant Paediatric Haematology Oncology & Immunology at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital Delhi. He has been trained in India & abroad in a wide range of Paediatric blood disorders, cancers and bone marrow transplant. Dr Kharya is credited for doing the largest number of transplants for Sickle Cell Disease in the country. He has developed innovative protocols for various transplants. He has keen interest in academics and research with special emphasis on futuristic therapies such as Chimeric Antigen Receptor T Cell therapy and Gene Editing/Gene Therapy for various inborn errors.
