Dr. Narasimhaiah Srinivasaiah

Overview

Dr. Narasimhaiah Srinivasaiah is the first Indian surgeon to be certified by the European Academy of Robotic Colorectal Surgery (EARCS). He is a senior consultant for the Karnataka location in the Apollo Institute of Colorectal Surgery. He holds an honorary position of senior lecturer at the Queen Mary University of London. His work also includes Diverticulosis, inflammatory bowel disease, proctology, polyposis, intestinal failure, and all aspects of functional & pelvic floor problems.

Work Experience

He is an active member of ACPGBI (Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland). Also, he was awarded Deccan Herald – Leading Light and ACRST-ABBOT excellence award for best paper (ACRISON) in 2018. He has also been invited to speak on several subjects globally. He is also a key leader in Precision Colonic Onco-Surgery and a journal reviewer. In addition, he is also a writer, researcher, innovator, and teacher.

Education

He completed his MBBS from Bangalore University, Surgical membership (MRCS) from the Royal College of Surgeons, England, Ireland, and Edinburgh in 2005. He completed CCST and FRCS (General Surgery) from Inter-Collegiate Board, UK, in 2014. He provides services such as – anaemia treatment, anal fissure surgery (surgical), minimally invasive surgery, cancer surgery, anal fissure surgery (non-surgical), bowel, constipation treatment, etc. Before joining Apollo Hospitals, he worked as a consultant general and colorectal surgeon at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Essex, UK. His main research interest is Precision Onco-surgery and Psycho-surgery.

• Doctor of Medicine (Academic Surgery) from the University of Hull, 2012.
• International Robotic Colorectal Surgical Fellowship from the European Academy of Robotic Colorectal Surgery in 2018.
