Dr Aashish R Shah is the Director & Senior Consultant in GI and the Minimal Access Surgery department. He is a highly skilled surgeon and one of the best surgical gastroenterologists in Bangalore, with around three decades of medical experience. He specialises in Minimal Access and Gastrointestinal Surgery. In his extensive career, he has achieved various accolades. He was one of the visiting laparoscopic surgeons at multiple hospitals in Mauritius, Uganda, Iraq, and Ethiopia. He also participated as a faculty member at various National level Surgical Conferences. He has published numerous research papers in various National and International Journals.

Dr Aashish Shah has extensive experience, spanning 27 years to date, in the field of Minimal Access and Gastrointestinal Surgery. He has worked as a Lead Consultant at Fortis Hospital and Aster RV Hospital.

Education

Dr Aashish Shah did his graduation (MBBS) from Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore, in 1991. He went on to pursue his Post Graduation – Master of General Surgery (MS), qualifying in 1994 from Grant Medical College, Bombay, securing the First Rank in the University of Bombay. Concurrently he qualified for the Diplomate of National Board in General Surgery from NBE, Delhi, in 1994.
