Dr Arun completed his Graduation MBBS from Government Medical College, Bellary and MD in General Medicine from MMC&RI, Mysore. Further, he specialised in Nephrology and Renal Transplant from KIMS, Trivandrum.

• He has gained rich professional experience in Nephrology and Renal Transplant in various reputed institutions.
• He specialises in ABO-incompatible renal transplants and multi-organ transplants. He has conducted paediatric pre-emptive ABO-incompatible, one of its kind in Karnataka.
• He also has the credit for performing complicated Renal transplants for conditions like myeloma kidney, oxaluria and congenital kidney and urinary tract anomalies.
• He has authored several national and international publications and has a syndrome named after him.
• His special interest are Epigenetics and kidney regeneration (hypertensive and diabetic kidney disease Renal Transplantation and Multi-organ transplantations.
• Parenchymal and glomerular renal disease.
• Renal pathology and clinical trials.
