Dr.Sushan Mukhopadhyay Director & Head – Dept. of Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, Kolkata Dr Sushan Mukhopadhyay has completed his Graduation from North Bengal Medical College. He did his MS (General Surgery) from B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad & MCh (Cardiothoracic Surgery) from Sri Chitra Thirunal Institue of Medical Sciences (Thiruvanandapuram). Dr. Mukhopadhyay was inducted as Registrar at Christian Medical College, Vellore, Dept. of Cardiac Surgery under Dr.Stanley John & proved himself the best entrant in the post-doctoral course from the same institute. He independently performed over 12000 Cardiothoracic procedures. Mostly adult procedures CABG, OPCABS, Total Arterial CABG’s (LIMA – RIMA), Redo CABG’s, Valve Surgeries, Redo Valve surgeries, Aortic Surgeries including Root, Arch & Thoraco Abdominal procedures and Congenital surgeries. Specialization in Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery. Performed around 2000 minimal invasive procedures which includes Multi-vessel CABG, Mitral Valve Replacement, Aortic Valve Replacement & Congenital defects.
