CME, in general use, refers to educational events that were approved for CME credits. CME credits are important to doctors as Medical Council of India specified number of credits yearly to maintain medical licenses, and as most hospitals require a specified number of credits for their doctors to remain credentialed to see their patients. Authorized accreditation councils and licensing authorities award CME credits for maintenance of physicians’ licensures.

Doctors use CME credit points to show that they have participated in educational activities and obtained CME credit to meet the needs of state medical boards, medical specialty societies, specialty boards, hospital medical staffs, the Joint Commission, insurance groups, and others.
Offline CMEs are conducted at a specific location in a city and offers Drs the convenience of attending the program in person, hence, participation to offline CMEs are by invitation, while Online CMEs are delivered digitally, typically either through MicroSoft Teams or Zoom. This is advantageous for Drs to participate in the program where ever they are located and with the convenience of taking a break from their busy practice schedules

At Apollo, we are sensitive to the practice pressures of the Doctors and the occasional challenge to attend CMEs on topics of their interest, hence we are in the process of creating a bank of recording of CMEs, especially online CMEs and make them available online to view the proceedings with just a click
Apollo shall share the link to the online CME, prior to start of the program, with the Dr through a message. The Doctors may have to if required, download either Microsoft Teams or Zoom app in their mobile phones or other compatible devices
