Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a medical treatment wherein the patient breaths 100% oxygen while being inside a high pressure environment (2 -3 ATA) for a prescribed period of time. It delivers increasing amount of dissolved oxygen to the blood. This helps the body to heal itself by making oxygen available to body tissues and organs, which were not receiving an adequate blood supply because of illness or trauma.
This unit offers state-of-art chamber built as per international norms. The chamber is large enough to accommodate six seated patients or two lying patients plus a nursing staff and provides 24×7 support for emergencies. The chamber has an air lock safety provision allowing entry and exit of staff / patients without disturbing the pressure in the main chamber. The unit has patient monitoring facility along with transcutaneous oximetry monitoring.
