World Cancer Day 2023 Theme: Close the Care Gap

World Cancer Day is celebrated across the world on February 4th of every year. It is an annual day marked to spread awareness about the disease, share information related to its diagnosis, prevention, and cure, and raise money to help people suffering from the disease. The theme for World Cancer Day 2023 being “Uniting our voices and taking action,” we must in great unison educate people on how to fight against the dangerous disease, support cancer victims in their challenging battles, and help them emerge victorious.

“Closing the Care Gap” is a multi-year campaign for 2022-24 mainly with the motive to have a lasting impact and invest more energy and time to bring a change. World Cancer Day carries great importance for the very fact that many people on this day celebrate their win against cancer. On the other hand, some people remember the dear ones that they have lost to cancer.
Thus, the day demands the solidarity of all human beings.

To fight against cancer, spread awareness, and help those who are in this life-threatening battle, Apollo Cancer Centre, a cancer hospital in Ahmedabad, puts heavy emphasis on the need for one to know the disease thoroughly.
