Achieving the Success of Inclusion in the India Book of Records, 2023 for ‘Removal of the heaviest Kidney tumor in a 3-year-old Paediatric patient and the largest Wilms’ tumor in the Paediatric age group’ through Surgery by Dr. Nitin Singhal (Sr. Consultant Surgical Oncology) & Team, Apollo Cancer Centre.
The 3.1 kg tumor mass, which has been discovered to be the largest tumor was removed who happened to have a horseshoe kidney. The surgery was a difficult task but Dr. Singhal and his team nailed it and provided the child with a new lease of life.
The child is having a normal life post-surgery like any other child of her age group.
