Apollo Hospitals Educational and Research Foundation (AHERF)
Apollo Hospitals Educational and Research Foundation (AHERF) is an autonomous organization recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) as a “Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO)”, to carry out research, educational and training programs in the quest of quality health care. Our organization has grown from strength to strength. Together we have achieved establishing the foundation of a much larger, sophisticated and visionary organization which will spearhead Research and Innovations for Apollo Hospitals. AHERF undertakes and promotes scientific and medical research programs that have a bearing on the health, social, economic and industrial needs of India. AHERF leverages the strength of the Apollo Group of Hospitals, which lies in its competent clinicians and clinical researchers, a large number and variety of patients, state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic technologies and an excellent medical records system.

- First time in North East India, Apollo Hospitals, Guwahati removed a cardiac tumor through Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery.
- Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai successfully performed its first heart transplant on a 33-year-old male patient in 2019.
- Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Nellore is the first hospital in Nellore to perform minimally invasive CABG
